I believe singing is for everyone.
Hi, I’m April Combs Mann, songleader, storyteller, and the founder of The Cinci Sing. I’ve spent my life making music, telling stories, and creating spaces where people can come as they are and feel safe and seen. I believe singing is a powerful form of connection and well-being, not something reserved for performers, but meant for all of us.
Through my years as a touring musician, children’s storyteller, classroom teacher, and community songleader, I’ve seen how simple songs sung in circle can shift the energy in a room and bring people closer together.
With The Cinci Sing, I’m building a citywide movement rooted in joy, inclusion, and the shared magic of lifting our voices side-by-side.
Whether we’re gathering to sing in a bookstore, a community center, or with a circle of mamas and babies, the heart of it is always the same: presence, playfulness, and belonging.
I started The Cinci Sing because I saw a need for gatherings that welcome people just as they are, moments that offer joy and respite in the middle of daily life. I love to sing in community. I thought other people might love that too.
In a world that often feels divided and hurried, I wanted to create moments of togetherness through song. A bookstore on a Wednesday night, a circle of mamas on a weekday mornings, Monday evenings at Riverside Sing — these are all steady acts of community care. That’s what The Cinci Sing is all about.
I can’t wait to sing with you!
